Xee Stories:
Christina
What got you excited about XEE and to join?
I always had my own way of sharing the gospel. I used to think if were
more attractive ways to deal with people to share the message of
salvation. I was excited when I got to know about XEE as an
announcement in my church. I was thrilled by the fact that there is a
course to train people to evangelize.
I did not have a second
thought to miss it.
I wanted to enroll for the course and do it by all means.
What new things you have learned during the course?
I have learned ‘how to start a conversation’ with a believer or
non-believer, which is for me the most difficult part. The course is
beautifully segmented into six parts, which helps us to deal with six
different aspects from the start till the end, such as Life, Us, God,
Jesus, Faith and Response. I learned that a good structure in the way
of telling the gospel is necessary and something I have been waiting
to learn for years. I felt I won’t be lost during the process as I
have the map to start and end it properly. Through many day-to-day
life stories, the gospel is explained wonderfully in this course which
connects with the listener in a more simple and meaningful way.
Quoting appropriate bible verses during evangelism is a very good
learning for me.
How has this course impacted your life and changed it?
It has impacted my life to learn more about the gospel in a deeper
way. Spending time every week for this course and engaging in
insightful discussions has helped to renew my spirit which was dormant
and not growing at some point.
Inspiring experience (from OJT or from daily situations)
From the OJTs, I got to know that regular church-going Christians also
don’t know the gospel clearly. I also learned how people think and
respond to the questions asked from the course. It kept me thinking on
how to respond more meaningfully to them in the future.
Why would you recommend XEE to others?
I firmly believe that it is the responsibility of every human being,
out of love, to be trained to proclaim the most beautiful gospel of
our Lord Jesus Christ. The reason to be trained is because the gospel
is interpreted in many different ways with a variety of outcomes. To
help the Christendom synchronize and enable evangelism, a proper
training is recommended. I strongly recommend it to everyone who loves
the LORD!

What got you excited about XEE and to join?
I came to the Netherlands in Oct 2018 with an expectation of meeting
and living in a Christian Faith filled population. But soon after
arriving I found that the native Dutch community has almost done with
their Christian faith. Lot of pain to see big beautiful but vacant
churches all over the Netherlands. After my wife Christina joined me,
we started sharing the burden of soul winning and introducing Christ
to the people here.
Though the burden was real, we found ourselves not having the courage
or techniques to bring people we hang out with, to Christ. We inviting
some of our friends to the church often turned out short-lived as we
couldn’t turn their initial interest into a lifesaving, salvation
encounter with Christ! We soon learned that we needed training on
sharing the gospel in an easy to approach, friendly, caring and
consistent way.
This is where XEE came as a gift pf God served on a silver platter!
The initial introduction about the program made us excited as it
offered all those aspects of personal evangelization we longed for!
So, when the nominations were opened for the 2023 Semester, my wife
ran and registered us as interested students.
What new things you have learned during the course?
The very interesting take away from the XEE course is the tools that
are made available to you for initiating and continuing a conversation
about life. The questions, stories and connecting inferences are in
cohesion. Its designed to be a journey for the listener where each
stage leads to the next and finally (and nicely) leading the
conversation to the Faith in Christ and response.
How has this course impacted your life and changed it?
It transformed me from being a shy person to a bold and effective
person in reaching out about Christ. I see myself getting comfortable
in initiating the shy conversations about faith and express genuine
care and concern for the lives of the people I meet. I’m confident
that as I continue to meet and engage with people using XEE I’ll get
more seasoned with the strategy.
Inspiring experience (from OJT or from daily situations)
OJTs showed that our perspectives about the people we know can be
untrue! Having real conversations about life unearthed real beliefs
and journeys people have. At times I was surprised to hear the
responses and how the people react to the Gospel story! I believe in
what Christ said “The harvest is plenty but the servants are few”
Why would you recommend XEE to others?
If anyone has a burden of bringing your family, friends, relatives,
colleagues, Neighbours and acquaintances to Christ, XEE is a real
platform to equip you, train you and transform you to fulfill your
desires of soulwinning and personal evangelization. XEE takes a very
personal, invested, caring and loving approach in sharing God’s love.
It also makes you a true friend for that cherished person!

I participated in the XEE training upon the invitation of JaPe. Having
been actively involved in running XEE, JaPe expresses a strong desire
to integrate this personal evangelism training program into our
church. His fervor for the training is evident as he conducts it with
great enthusiasm. The key components of the program include prayers,
instruction on the gospel's content, and practical application through
on-the-job training.
JaPe went above and beyond to ensure the classes were engaging,
putting in more effort than even the participants. Over the extensive
duration of fourteen weeks, we had the opportunity to connect with
individuals who had not previously encountered the gospel.
Reflecting on the evangelistic responsibility, Apostle Paul
admonishes, "Woe unto me if I preach not the gospel" (I Cor. 9.16).
Considering our role as evangelists, I propose that we, at TCE, run
either XEE or a similar program annually to train and equip as many
individuals as possible. May the Lord continue to empower JaPe for the
training of many in personal evangelism. God bless!

In a mission event I organized, we decided to evangelize people. I
wanted us to be aligned on what to say and do. A short XEE training
was suggested. We had one afternoon of sharing how Jesus came to take
our sins and give life to those who receive Him. When we went out to
the city to practise this with people, I first time really came to
understand the importance of sharing the Gospel. I decided to take XEE
leadership training (clinic) and run the first 12-week course on my
city. It changed my lifestyle completely. Now I seek openings for
friendship and discussion. When a proper moment comes, I share about
my life and God’s good plan on saving all people.
The importance of prayer was not clear to me before the course. I
learned that whenever there is witnessing, there needs to be prayer.
That is why each XEE participant has two payer partners to pray weekly
basis. In prayer we ask God to prepare and provide the people we meet
to witness. On top of praying, I also have learned more carefully to
listen others and ask questions to make conversation meaningful. This
you cannot practise in theory, you need to meet people in real life
situations. That’s why on-the-job trainings (OJT’s) are a must. When
there is theory, there is practise with the guidance of a team leader
showing example.
One of the many exciting events on the XEE courses I’ve been involved,
happened in one night at my neighbourhood. The full course of 14
people were sharing life in my area. A team went out to a street where
one lady had agreed to meet me at my place. So I told that team not to
go into that particular house, because the lady of the house was
already at my place, they should just skip this house. The team leader
got mixed up with the house numbers and of course reached for that
house, whose lady was at my place. A daughter came to open the door
and received Jesus, while her mother was receiving Jesus at my place.
In a wrap-up session when we shared what had happened, we were all
amazed by Gods power to lead his plan above the plans of men when we
have prepared ourselves with prayer.
I recommend XEE course to every Christian, because it has equipped me
to witness about God’s love in my life. His life changing power to
save us through what Jesus did on the cross. I have received tools to
shortly, simply and understandably share about the broken relationship
between man and God, how Jesus fixes that in order for man to be again
as an object for Gods love in a restored relationship through the
friendship of Jesus.

I joined XEE because I think it is crucial that we share our faith in
a low key manner. My experience is that XEE is:
- a practical way to take someone from an initial meeting through
some basic theology to accepting Jesus,
- a real life experience of sharing the Gospel through pre-arranged
home visits and "treasure hunting" ie meeting people on the street,
- excellent coaching from people who have done the course before,
who encouraged me when I did well and very gently guided me when I
could do better.
I particularly liked the two occasions where we led someone to Christ.
Both were church attenders but didn't understand the Gospel message
until we explained it.
I recommend XEE because most Christians do not actively talk about
their faith and this is an easy way to start. I believe that sharing
the Gospel is one of our primary missions here on Earth so XEE is
something I recommend every Christian should try at least
once.

I am glad that a few months ago, I got the opportunity to start the
XEE course, though it was not the first time I had heard about it, I
had not given it attention yet until one Sunday after Jape announced
it in church my husband came over to me and told me that he needed me
to enrol for the course and I knew right away that was the right thing
to do.
At the end of it, I appreciate the decision to join since I have
learned more about Faith, Jesus and God’s love and Justice. I have
learned a new approach of evangelizing drawing from inspiration from
simple real life examples and also learned more about what it means
for me as a believer to trust, walk and believe in Jesus.
This course has impacted my life immensely with a renewed zeal to
evangelize and tell about the free gift of salvation that God has
given to mankind thorough Jesus.
I have also been impacted in my personal walk with God, with a more
rooted faith that I do not need to give anything to enjoy the free
gift of salvation rather it was freely given to me, but I need to grow
and cultivate an intentional spiritual growth through prayer, Bible,
worship, fellowship with other Christians and witnessing about Jesus.
I would recommend this course to anyone, it is an eye opener even to a
believing Christian, takes the journey of salvation right from the
fall of man to the ultimate salvation plan of God, this course also
offers a renewed faith of ones faith to Jesus.
Amen.

As soon as I first heard about XEE I thought it sounded great, but
definitely NOT something I would EVER do! Far too scary and I told
myself evangelism is just ‘not my thing’. Anyway, I was doing
enough.
I applied this principle well over the years and then I ended up on
the one-day course mainly as a support to the Capernwray students
😉
That already pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I did feel a sense
of purpose as we spoke to people on the streets and a sense of ‘we
don’t need God, we are quite ok as we are thank you very much’ from
the people we met.
Again, when Jape announced the long course, I
shrugged it off as not applicable to me.
One Easter Sunday as we celebrated life and victory over the grave, I
was broken due to a young 17-year neighbour having recently taken his
own life. He had no hope, no sense of any answer and that has been
heartbreaking for me. I felt very strongly that I needed to grow in
confidence to share the amazing hope of Jesus with those around me. It
was time!
It has been a great encouragement to talk to people about life and
faith, to listen to their stories and share ours. It’s simple
connection and conversation – so the big objections I mentioned, kind
of fell away – it became a case of one beggar telling another where to
get food. I’ve had many more conversations with people since then just
in my own day to day connections which I would have previously shied
away from.
It is for everyone. Having some tools and stories to lean on and share
in a non-threatening way. It’s only 13 weeks and it will have eternal
implications!
